Having a dry skin will often make you feel uncomfortable and tight especially after washing. It is thus important to learn how to moisturize dry skin with oils, masks and regular hydration products and will help in preventing premature aging and will prevent discomfort. The first step to moisturize dry skin is to apply a facial mask every day in the morning before you take a bath.
You have to mix one egg yolk, one teaspoonful of olive oil, one teaspoonful of orange juice and few drops of rose water. Once you have these ingredients, you have to apply evenly to your face and then leave for about fifteen minutes before taking a bath.
Another way to moisturize dry skin is to use natural oil on the skin as a moisturizer and you have to apply as soon as bathing in order to assist in trapping humidity into your skin. If you have baby oil, sweet almond oil or olive oil, you can use it and remember to apply sparingly and you have to make sure that you pay special care to areas around the eyes, forehead, nose, mouth and those other areas where wrinkles are generally formed.
During the midday, you have to moisten your skin with sprits water and then you have to apply the moisturizer all over again. This is one of the most important steps in ensuring that your skin gets adequate moisture especially if your skin feels tight and dry or if you are working under extreme heat or cold or when the temperatures keeps on changing throughout the day.
In addition, you have to take a warm milk bath once every week in order to help in hydrating and softening your dry skin. This will also help in reducing irritations that are commonly caused by excessive dryness. While bathing, you have to remember to add one and a half cups of powered milk, twenty drops of lavender and a half teaspoonful of sweet almond oil. Soak for about 15 minutes and then you have to apply your choice of moisturizer to your skin after leaving the bath.
